Funeral Homes in Miami That Stood Out To Us

Bernardo Garcia Funeral Home

With three locations near the Miami area and over 2,500 funerals serviced in the last 100 years, it’s no wonder Bernardo Garcia Funeral Homes are so popular. Bernardo Garcia III brought Bernardo Garcia Funeral Home with him from Cuba once they moved to Florida, and the rest is history. Their sales pitches involve paying attention to the small details and providing real interactions with those mourning/wishing to schedule a funeral.

Bernardo García held my father in law’s viewing October 2020 and handled the cremation respectfully and speedily considering it was during the pandemic.  They are the most knowledgeable when it comes to all the regulations in the business and make things very easy for grieving families, the price is also very reasonable. I only wish my parents had chosen them when they purchased their pre-need contracts.

Caballero Funeral Home Miami

With over 13 locations near Miami all resembling Spanish villas, Caballero Funeral Home Miami is another great choice. Serving over 1,100 families per location a year, Caballero Funeral Homes offers a wide range of package options, as well as different funeral types. Their tag lines involves a personal connection with families and allowing for a lot of customization on the beneficiaries’ part when it comes to the wishes of their funeral.

Caballero Rivero  Westchester is in my opinion and as you can see by the opinion of others is the right place to go at that time of need to say goodbye to a loved one.

The whole staff is very professional and caring. Mr. Frank Drago is such a nice person, you can tell he has been doing this for a long time, his attention to detail is amazing.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while and was just prompted by their services yesterday of the Latin superstar Jose Jose.

What a beautiful and organized event!. No wonder most if not all of Spanish celebrities use their services in the South Florida area.

Beginning in 1948, Maspons Funeral Home has two locations near the Miami area serving most of South Florida. Their tag lines involve their support systems offered to those in need, as well as Maspons Funeral Home’s emphasis on family values.

Private parking lot

Very spacious and comfy seating.

TV is provided to share pictures and videos with family and all loved ones.

There is an area provided to place coffee and light bites to get through the hours.

Although this is not the ideal place you want to write a review for it’s all part of the journey of life. Family was happy with the service

What Questions Do I Ask Funeral Homes in Miami?

Miami is filled with quality funeral homes that will fit your need. It’s important to ask a variety of questions to get to know your funeral director, and how they can help you.

Finding Funeral Homes in Miami is no easy task, as Miami is filled with quality funeral homes in Miami that will fit your need. It’s important to ask various questions to get to know your funeral director, and how they can help you. It’s ultimately at your discretion what information you wish to know of your funeral director, but here at Final Expense Benefits, we have a few recommendations.

First of all, accreditation – Are you associated with the Funeral Directors Association? The Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice? Although not make or break, we feel as though these may give you a good idea of how involved in the community they are, or how established they’ve become.

Secondly, understand your options. Most funeral homes in Miami offer “packages” that are meant to tie key features together effectively cutting costs and streamlining the process. We recommend making sure that you understand your options before making any decisions. On this note, ask what payment plans/methods they utilize and see how this accommodates you.

Finally, Find out what makes their home stand out from other homes in the area, as competition is fierce. Whether their price point is lower relative to what they offer, or possibly their services are more sophisticated than those around them, what have you, it’s important to utilize the fact that competition exists and you may take your benefits elsewhere.

How Do I Pay For A Funeral?

Knowing and planning how your funeral costs will be paid for is also important. Here at Final Expense Benefits, we will not only help you with finding the top funeral home in Miami, but the right funeral insurance. Whether you are looking at a policy for yourself or a loved one, a funeral insurance policy for seniors will help bring peace of mind. Thankfully you have multiple options other than a standard whole life insurance policy that requires years of preparation to reap the full benefit.

Final Expense Insurance

Final Expense Insurance exists like a whole life insurance policy, although tailored specifically for funeral expenses. These policies offer no medical exam and generally accept all applicants regardless of status. As a result of this acceptance rate, though, your rate may be adjusted based on how much of a risk you are assessed to be. Final Expense Insurance funds are paid out as normal as long as premiums are paid, and contain no restriction on how the funds may be used. This is always a good idea because you don’t have to spend the payout on a funeral if this is unnecessary, making this a very versatile policy.

Preneed Insurance

Preneed insurance, or what is essentially an agreement with your funeral home of choice, maybe a good idea as well. Generally, plans provided by this method of insurance are relatively cheap and offer little to no stress, as all arrangements are carried out by the funeral home when the time comes.

Medigap

Medigap is a policy offered by private organizations in an attempt to cover any gaps left by the inadequate sum given by SSI.  Medigap is a standard policy meant to give you what you pay for, serving an important niche as SSI payments are simply not enough in 2022 considering what inflation has done to the economy.

Survivors Benefits

The hardest to be applicable for, survivor benefits act like SSI although they are given in monthly payments to those that qualify. To qualify, one must either find themselves as a surviving spouse, unexpectedly in the care of a minor, etc.

Here at Final Expense Benefits, we believe no one should go without the proper closure to untimely circumstances, and after reading this article, we hope you feel more prepared!
